Products offered are software & hardware solutions for the small to medium business owner from Virus Protection & Spam ware in Emails; Virtual Servers, Disaser Recovery Systems, System Redundancy in colocation areas. Also provide data & telecommunications consultation.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have over 30 years in the High tech industry with a unique back ground starting in application design with Control Data Corporation in electronic warfare, crypto design in Washington DC area with a migration to technical support in the marketing side of the industry. With over 15 years in the data industry with WANG & Digital Equipment Corporation (National Sales Manager); AT & T hired me with an intense education process with merging telecommunications with data; specializing with the "marriage" of the two diverse technologies. AT & T immersed me with 4th generation language and wireless technology. Using this background in sales & eventually as a product manager in the wireless industry. As I married, I decided to use my experience in the hospital industry to assist improving the system for 5 years. In that environment, I gained insightful experience working with construction, managing subcontractors, an operational budget setting up Physician's officers continually and working in the health industry versus DoD, factory automation and financial systems.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
TelSpencer has over 30 years in the high tech industry from application development; sales, marketing both software, consulting, telecommunications, data & wireless. This is a VERY unique combination anywhere. In addition, I had the experience in setting up offices for over 5 years and managing an operational setting versus development & marketing. During that time, I saved the hospital considerable funds from evaluating their cellular bills, negotiating contracts on their telecommunications, television contracts and Data lines.....estimated to be in the several hundred thousands. I was very fortunate to be the management of a great team which provided solutions to DOD that received awards..one from President Reagon & another that received coverage on the Senate Floor & CNN News.
