Pensacola Little Theatre offers high-quality live performances and acting classes.
Founded in 1936, Pensacola Little Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit community theatre created to give an outlet to performing artists and to provide quality entertainment to our friends and neighbors. Our mission includes providing arts education through classes and summer camps, and taking theatre on the road to schools and underserved communities. We own the Pensacola Cultural Center, which is home to PLT and other arts organizations. The Cultural Center is also a versatile venue for private parties, meetings, fundraisers and other events.

How long have you been in business?
Pensacola Little Theatre was incorporated in 1936 and we have produced shows every year since.
What is your primary product or service?
We produce live theatre using local talent, and we offer classes and summer camps for children interested in the performing arts.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Pensacola's first drama troupe formed in 1926 and produced plays for a few years. The WPA helped get Pensacola Little Theatre, Inc. off the ground in the 1930s.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are the most prolific theatre in northwest Florida. We stage at least 15 full-length shows every year. All of our actors, directors, and stagehands are local volunteers.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one permanent location. We will not expand into additional permanent buildings, but we do have a traveling stage that takes shows and workshops into underserved communities.

From Interstate 10, take I-110 south to Garden Street. The exit ramp curves around to a traffic light at Tarragona St. Take a left at the light and go south several blocks, through the four-way stop by Seville Quarter. The next block, on the right, is a public parking lot at the corner of Tarragona and Zaragoza Streets. That's a great place to park, and our building is at the corner of Zaragoza and Jefferson St., one block east of Tarragona.
From Gulf Breeze/Pensacola Beach, cross the Pensacola Bay Bridge (aka 3-mile bridge) into Pensacola and veer left onto Bayfront Parkway. Bayfront turns into Main Street. Our building is the three-story white building with the burgundy banners on the side, at the corner of Main and Jefferson St.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AmEx. Tickets may be purchased by phone with a credit card and picked up at the Box Office one hour before the show starts.
Which areas do you service?
Our patrons come from throughout Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties in Florida. We also have patrons from Escambia and Baldwin Counties in Alabama, and from Okaloosa County in Florida.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization run by a Board of Directors. Day-to-day operations are managed by a staff of seven - Executive Director, Artistic Director, Facilities Manager, Technical Director, Box Office/Events Manager, Marketing Director, Education Director
What are your hours of operation?
Our office is open from 9am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday. Our Box Office is open from 10am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday, plus one hour before curtain on performance evenings. Youth classes are typically held on weekday afternoons after school. Auditions and rehearsals are typically held in the evening after 6:30pm. Performances are usually Friday and Saturday evenings, occasionally on Thursday evenings, and on Sunday afternoons.
